UI - User Interface.

As the name suggests that it is the process of designing an interface. The UI designer designs an application or website interface. In this process, the UI designer needs to keep a lot of things into consideration and finalize the design.

Let us assume that a company CEO has an idea to make an app for finding cabs easily using our mobile. Now, the CEO hires a UI UX designer to know whether the idea works or not before he spends all the time, energy and effort on coding and all other related stuff.

If the application process had become successful, then the team or a company can proceed to further process of making Mobile Applications or Web Applications.

The UI/ UX designer has to make the design interactive and unique if you want to keep your product more sustainable in the market for a long time. Just like the major food-tech companies like the Swiggy and Zomato war, the swiggy is the most repeatedly used application in India. Do you know the reason, it is because of the interactive user interface and experience design.

I learnt the fundamentals of User Interface designing from the Senior Product Designer of Swiggy, on the growth school platform. I would strongly recommend you to attend his masterclass. He covered every single thing about User interface designing. Here is the link for his masterclass.

Okay, then how to become UI Designer?

Firstly, to become UI Designer, you just need to have commonsense. Yes, just using your common sense, like where to put the button, the image, the slider, the navbar and other's position according to the project you do. These all comes from the commonsense of using or developing application.

And the, you need to be familiar with the platforms like Figma, After effects, Adobe Illustrator and also to use the platforms like dribble to showcase your work on the internet. On dribble, you can get internships, jobs or freelaning opportunities using your profile on Dribble. On dribble you just need to upload the content or mockups that you had done as for practicing the UI Designing.
